Last time I talked about the issue of teenaged girls doing the Big-B in my previous entry, The young, the underaged and Botox. Today, I am turning to the blogosphere to voice my concerns after coming across an online article featured on The West Australian about an eight-year-old from Birmingham being injected with Botox by her own mother! Excuse me, injecting an eight-year-old with Botox just to maintain her youthful and baby face look as she grows up? This is just insane! And it is also wrong and irresponsible at all levels. When I was eight years old almost twenty years ago, I only played with dolls and did normal things a child did in the nineties rather than experience what Britney Campbell is subjected to now. That is not all, did I need Botox when I was her age? No and I never did thanks to my normal and sensible upbringing!

I am not here to judge or do anything of a sort but injecting Botox and fillers into a young child’s face is considered unethical and we do not know what kind of health consequences her face and body will have. An eight-year-old (a minor and an underaged child for goodness sake) cannot make an informed decision when it comes to Botox. Secondly, we are talking about a fresh faced eight-year-old child not a woman in her forties or fifties here. Honestly, I cannot help but feel so sorry for that little girl and how her mother is being irresponsible. Her excuse? Read this article and you will find out what is her excuse (the lamest and most unacceptable excuse that shows what kind of mother Kerry Campbell is).

Anyway, what says you about this latest issue regarding a mother injecting her eight-year-old daughter with Botox and fillers? Do you think it is unethical and unacceptable for an eight-year-old girl to have Botox? Opinions are welcomed
